The 13 Demon Races are a group of 13 species modified and derived from humans via experimentation by the Overlords of Light and Darkness, a pair of deities that had taken interest in the budding human species on Earth. The resultant experimentation gave 13 races that require Prana in some form or another to feed on and survive, whether this just be to retain their longevity or to entirely subsist and exist on varies from race to race.
At least parts of these races were created via the Overlords placing fragmented essences of their previous race attempts, The Undead, within human hosts.
